About Me

As I started my career in education, I earned two bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Earth/Space Science from Averett University and Radford University. I continued my education by earning three master 's-level degrees in Biology, Library Media, and Education Leadership from Averett University, Radford University, and Longwood University. I have twenty-seven years of experience in education at the high school level. I taught Earth Science and Biology for eleven years. I then spent fourteen years as School Librarian at a high school. I spent one year as a high school administrator. I am happy to return to the Library, where I will collaborate with teachers to make sure our students are taught the 21st-century research skills needed for information literacy.
